Privacy policy

Last updated 29 September 2026

aiship (aiship.lol) is a free, open-source site for learning math through animated equations. This page explains what information the site handles and why. The short version: you can browse without an account, there are no ads and no analytics, and anything you post is public.

Browsing without an account

You can watch every sketch, read the explanations and edit code without signing in. Code you edit is saved only in your own browser's storage. The site is hosted by Vercel, which, like any web host, keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to run and protect the service.

Signing in

You can sign in with GitHub, Google or Discord. Sign-in is handled by Supabase, which stores the account on our behalf. From the provider you choose, we receive:

We don't receive your password, and we don't get access to anything else in your GitHub, Google or Discord account.

What you post is public

Comments, notes added to explanations, sketches you share, and the display name and bio on your profile are visible to everyone. Notes and shared sketches are reviewed before they appear to others. You can delete your own comments, notes and sketches at any time.

What we don't do

Deleting your account

To have your account and everything attached to it deleted, open an issue on the project's GitHub page asking for deletion (you don't need to include any private details), and it will be removed.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date above changed. Questions go to the same GitHub issues page.
